Janine Vintch, M.D.

Janine R. E. Vintch, M.D. is a Professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and is a member of the academic faculty at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.  She received her MD from the Keck School of Medicine at USC, and did her Internal Medicine residency training as well as Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship training at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.  She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine.  Dr. Vintch is the Director of the Sleep Center Services along with the Pulmonary Embolism Response Team (PERT) at Harbor.

Dr. Vintch’s area of focus is on anticoagulation and the management of venous thromboembolic (VTE) disease, including deep vein thromboses and pulmonary emboli and is involved in a number of studies related to this area of medicine.  Dr. Vintch is also a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and serves as a panelist on their guidelines related to treatment as well as prevention of VTE.  Lastly, she is an active member of the University of California Alliance on Pulmonary Embolism (UCAPE) as well as the PERT Consortium.
